Requesting Wheels or Rollers Riser Base

I’ve had my UHK80 for almost a week. Still getting used to a lot of things, but overall I’m liking it quite a bit! One thing that would be really nice for me though would be some sort of wheels or rollers for the bottom of the riser plate, allowing me to move my keyboard halfs around without taking my hands off of them or having to lift and place them back down. I use 4 monitors, often swivel in my chair, sometimes lean more in, and sometimes lean back.
Being able to just freely slide it around would be great. If anybody knows about something that would work for this or has any ideas that would be appreciated.

How would that work?

I mean, especially with the riser tenting tilt, you want to be able to rest your palms and/or fingers on the keyboard withiut it skidding away, which would certainly be the case uf you attached btus like these

I would totally launch my poor UHK straight off my desk if I tried that  :rocket:. Or even worse, into my TV / monitor :face_with_peeking_eye:.

I imagine using wheels would mar your desktop, so I’d try something with a wider surface area, like the PTFE skates from a mouse or whatever.

I want my keyboard to stay stable on the desk. I once tried a split, tented keyboard without proper rubber feet and it constantly slid away underneath my fingers. It wasn’t a good experience. I can’t imagine one on rollerballs; it just wouldn’t work for me.

Ooooo, that might just work.
So pretty much I know everyones’ concern about the keyboard just sliding away. It’s very much going to depend on how easily it moves. If it glides like on air then that would be too freely moving, some small amount of resistance would be good. But still I think I might be able to not accidentally slide too much because at my 50 degree left and 35 degree right tilt my fingers are pushing down and in whereas my palms are kinda pushing down and out.
So I might try these little balls and see how well they work and go from there. One thing I love about this keyboard and community is the willingness to experiment!

I use a large deskpad. If it gets damaged more over time that’s not a big deal. Some PTFE skates might work well enough. I’m going to have to experiment!

Those BTUs are omnidirectional ball bearings. They will glide like on air.

Yeah, but cheap enough to try out. If it slides like crazy then I’ll record a short funny video of it.
