This is another stupid one from me:
Just noticed my UHK80 display is showing the numlock indicator. I don’t have Numlock mapped to any key on any layer. reboot (in a macro) doesn’t turn it off.
How do I turn it off? (How did I turn it on?)
(BTW, a search function would be nice in Agent, so you could just search for a keystroke (by name?) and it would highlight which layers it was in and which keys mapped to it.
I’m guessing that numlock was enabled in your OS by a different keyboard, numpad, or maybe some software like an on-screen/virtual keyboard, gaming mouse macros etc..
I know that Windows OS remembers the numlock state set by other devices, and the UHK will reflect the state currently set in the OS (even if the other devices have been unplugged since, or after PC shutdown/reboot). I’ve actually only seen a couple of boards (standalone numpads) that toggle the numlock state independently of other devices when used on the same system.
You can try unplugging/disconnecting all hosts, and then reboot the UHK. If the numlock indicator turns off after rebooting the UHK, and then turns back on when you reconnect the hosts, then it’s almost definitely the OS that’s in numlock state. If this is the case, try opening an on-screen keyboard with numlock functionality to see if numlock is enabled in there, and then toggle it a couple of times to see if your UHK’s indicator is affected.
This also probably means that if you connect the UHK to a different host, it will assume/switch to the state of that newly connected host as well.
