Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to get UHK60v2 working on a PS5?
Will there be a firmware update for this, or are there other reasons for it to not work?
I’m running the latest agent and firmware.
The PS5 seems to recognize there is a keyboard attached, and it lights up, but keys do not react.
My best guess would be that maybe the PS5 doesn’t like that the UHK has multiple HIDs (keyboard and mouse) over one USB port. Do mouse keys or mouse modules work?
Nothing apart from the PS5 registering it is “there” works. No modules, no nothing. Other keyboards works yeah. But was hoping that this one would be working, since I only “need” one half
Am I correct to assume you also have another standalone mouse connected?
This is kind of a long shot, but maybe try disconnecting all peripherals from the PS5, and reboot it. Then connect only the UHK60 (no modules either). If it still doesn’t work, check to see if making changes in the PS5 system settings, to both the keyboard and mouse will help (still UHK connected only).

I know this is probably a dumb question, as this and similar situations are obviously super niche, but for the sake of universality (and to satisfy my own curiosity)…
Is it possible to implement a command to enable/disable the mouse HID, similar to the old gamepad HID? Or would doing so throw a wrench in the gears?
Thanks for the engagement everyone. So far from Googling and our friend ChatGPT, the conclusion is that the PS5 does not support this kind of keyboard (USB HID). Not a big deal really, I was curious if someone had “solved” this. I have an another keyboard I can use for this specific task. such as PS5 gaming with keyboard an mouse
The PS5 is notoriously picky about USB devices. Sony implemented strict USB device authentication, likely to prevent unauthorized controllers and cheating devices. The PS5 apparently only accepts keyboards that:
Present themselves as very simple, standard USB HID keyboards
Don’t have unusual or custom HID descriptors
May need specific VID/PID combinations that Sony whitelisted
We have managed to hit a full bingo on this list .
Would we need to think about a “simple keyboard” mode, e.g. you need to hold a key while you start the UHK (power on, or reboot) and then it presents itself as a single standard keyboard without mouse and with a well-known ID?
