I am relatively new to UHK80. The tenting plastics get folded quickly specially when the middle cable is connected and pull two halves to each other. Even if it’s not connected, it can quickly goes back to flat mode.
Has any of you had a solution to keep them more strong? I prefer not to buy riser as the current height set by the tenting plastics serves my need the best.
I’ve never really had trouble with the feet collapsing, but I normally use the Risers on all my UHKs. You could maybe try a little hot glue (or something not too difficult to remove) on the hinges . You could also try a different bridge cable. I use a 2 or 3 foot long straight cable, instead of the stock spiral cable. The UHK80 uses a cable with straight-through wiring, but the UHK60 uses crossover wiring. So just make sure you use the right type.
