Trackball on key cluster maintenance

I have the trackball press on my key cluster mapped to toggle fn5.
All was fine until recently and it doesn’t seem to frequently untoggle for extended periods, and sometimes does not at all. As if it is not releasing. It is one of the newer keycluster modules I have.

Is there any maintenance for the keyclusters trackball?

And after all that it was in fact not the module but the module steel guide screws.

All grand now.
